Getting Started with Vision Live Pro Desktop
XOi's Vision Live Pro allows technicians to virtually connect and collaborate in real-time for faster training and problem resolution directly from the field.
Calls can be initiated from a mobile app or XOi web. Read further to learn about the desktop's abilities.
Your XOi CSM will set up your virtual support team member’s configuration for Vision Live Pro.
Once completed, you will have access to the Vision Live Pro button directly through Vision Web.
You then may need to set up some configurations on your computer. These configurations include downloading the RTC Plugin and downloading a Chrome extension. When both of these configurations are set up properly you will be able to begin initiating calls.
Below are the icons you will see on the Vision Live Pro screen when first entering.
- User (currently logged in)
- START - Opens outbound sharing menu
- Connection Status
- Change Status (Connect/Disconnect/Away)
- Audio/ Video Selections
Starting your First Call
To send an OUTBOUND video call request to field personnel:
- Click the START button in the upper right corner.
- Choose whether to send the invitation via text or email.
- Enter the phone number/email of the person you would like to call.
- Click Send.
The user will receive a link via text/email. To begin the call the user will want to select this link. The user needs to have the Vision Live app downloaded on their device.
Once the device user clicks the link, the call will connect and the display will appear as shown.
This is how the screens will appear each time a call is received. The video feed is from the mobile camera.
Note: For this to work properly the user will need to have XOi Vision Live configured on their mobile device properly.
Local Controls
Once the call is live, you are provided two menus that display the controls for the local (Desktop) and remote (Mobile) devices.
- Turn the Desktop camera On/Off
- Turn the Desktop microphone On/Off
- Screen Sharing - Share desktop screen on device screen (webpage, vision, etc.)
- Turns into HD
- Record/Pause Recording - Recordings will be saved to the knowledge base.
- End the call
- Zoom In/Out
Remote Controls
The remote menu displays controls available for the mobile device. It allows the Desktop user to control the remote mobile device.
- Turn on/off their camera - asks for the technician's permission first
- Turn on/off their microphone - asks for the technician's permission first
- Turn on/off their forward-facing flashlight
- Turn the camera around - asks for the technician's permission first
- Choose images from the gallery - asks for the technician's permission first
- Saves current display to an image
- Pauses the current feed for annotation
- Share screen
- Save images taken
