XOi’s integration with Bluon allows mobile users to search for parts in Bluon based on the dataplate photo taken within XOi Mobile. The integration keeps technicians on the job and reduces the time and effort spent to identify, select, purchase, and pick up parts — tasks that cost technicians and contractors valuable hours each day.
Requirements for Use
1.68.0 or Higher Version of XOi Mobile
To update your mobile application to the most recent version go to the Settings area and select Update App.
Integration Must Be Enabled Per User
Admins can manage which technicians have access to the Bluon integration. To enable, select the checkbox “Enable find parts in Bluon” in the user's profile.
You may also work with your Customer Success Manager to bulk-enable all your current users.
Bluon App Needs to be Downloaded and Logged Into
The integration requires leaving the XOi Mobile app and going to the Bluon app to review the orderable parts based on the scanned dataplate.
The Bluon Mobile app will need to be installed on your device. If during your first time utilizing the integration, you do not have the Bluon mobile app installed you will be taken to the app store to download it.
You will also need to be a registered Bluon user. At first login to the Bluon app, you will be prompted to register. Your credentials do not have to be the same as your XOi credentials.
Network Connection Required
You must be signed in to XOi and must have a network connection to access the integration.
Model Number Required
A model number must be associated with the dataplate to generate the link to Bluon. The model number can be obtained by being present in the dataplate image provided. If a model number is not in the dataplate image, it can be manually entered. A prompt will show to manually add the model number.
After an uploaded image of a dataplate processes, a Find a Part button will appear under the image in the Equipment section of the workflow.
Click this button.
At the bottom of the screen, you will be presented with a link to search for parts in Bluon. Click this link.
After tapping the Search Bluon link, you will be taken directly to the Bluon mobile application.
Note: If Bluon is not downloaded to your device or you are not logged in you will be prompted to complete these steps first.
Once in Bluon, the application will open a search box and automatically search for parts using the model number shared from XOi.
After selecting an equipment entry, an XOi logo appears. You may either add parts to your cart, check out, or return to XOi by selecting the logo.
Locations of Find a Part Button
The Find a Part button can be found in other places within the XOi application, allowing you to find parts when you need them.
Under the Equipment section under each dataplate image.
If you have Journeyman*enabled, the Find a Part button will be accessible in the Journeyman Results under Dataplate Info.
If you do not have Journeyman enabled, a Find a Part icon will be available in the Dataplates section to the right of the dataplate image.
