How Do I Find Equipment Alerts in XOi Mobile?

Acting as an on-site technician’s right-hand companion, Equipment Alerts uses Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology to extract and document key equipment information from a simple dataplate photo. Once identified, Equipment Alerts then systematically evaluates contextual data—including job and equipment history, organizational knowledge, and OEM information—to deliver smart diagnostic solutions directly from any workflow in XOi. 

After XOi's OCR successfully pulls out the make/model/or serial number from a dataplate image, Equipment Alerts may appear*.

You will see a notification appear at the bottom of your application. 

If you are not currently in the app, based on your notification settings, a notification may appear in various places on your device.

 

You may select these notifications to be taken to Equipment Alerts or you can find the results in two other places. 

1. Dataplates

Select the Dataplates button and go to the Successful tab.

If there are Equipment Alerts available you will see the Equipment Alerts icon to the right of the image. Select this icon to be taken into the results

2. Equipment section: Once processed an Equipment section will appear above the Steps of the workflow. If available* Equipment Alerts will appear as a banner under the dataplate image. 

All the above ways will take you directly into the Equipment Alerts, for you to review.

Additional Information

*Equipment Alerts will not appear on all dataplate images. It is dependent on the job activity, documentation, and available information on the equipment identified through the OCR process or manually placed in by the technician.
