Setting up Content to Show in Equipment Alerts
XOi Admins, Job/User Editors, and Job Editors can ensure content added to the Knowledge Base shows up as an Equipment Alert after a dataplate is scanned.
When you upload your content to the Knowledge Base, there are required fields to fill out for it to show in the Equipment Alerts:
Content Category
The Content Category field is a drop-down field allowing you to choose what type of content the document you are uploading is.
For Equipment Alerts to appear you must use a content category from the list below.
Install Documentation
warranty, user manual, installation operation and maintenance, installation, user or quick start guide, kit, installation list, programming or integration, wiring diagram or manual, archive, install
Product Documentation
warranty, product summary, product specification, catalog, case study, bulletin, brochure, price sheet, product catalog or quick reference guide, submittal, product data, engineering bulletin or white paper, guide specifications or pics, application guide, product manual, application manual, engineers newsletter, case study, warranty, product
Sales Documentation

Choose from the drop-down what the Make/Manufacturer of this content is.
Models
The model # is broken apart to additionally match resources based on the pre-fix (First several characters of the model #). This way, you don’t have to spell out the entire model number each time – for instance, ABCD can apply to ABCD 800-1800 or ABCD 2000-3600 without having to enter each specific model number; however, in this instance, the prefix looks at the first four letters; ABC, for instance, would not return results, and so if a model was ABC 800, it is recommended you enter the full model ABC 800.
When entering a model number, type it in and press + on the right. This will place the tag in blue, adding it to the content. You can remove it by pressing the x on the right.
If this is an active Service Bulletin, toggle on the Service Bulletin button.
Make sure to press Upload Content at the end.
Now this content will show in the Equipment Alerts when applicable.
