Filtering Dashboards
Dashboards and their reports inside of them are accessible through XOi Web.
Within the Dashboard area, reports have been broken out into different sections, each dedicated to specific types of data. All User Roles can be permitted in the Dashboard tab.
Filters allow the user to easily review and find the data they are looking for, giving them more precise control. There are various ways that a dashboard can be filtered. The available filter options vary depending on the type of dashboard and the report.
Filter options include:
Global Filters
These filters affect all dashboard elements and are located at the top of the dashboard.
Table Filters
These filters only affect data within the table you are viewing.
Select the funnel button.
Fill out the filter options:
- Column: The column you would like to filter by.
- Operator: What do you want the value in the column to equal, not equal, contain, etc...
- Value: What you are searching for. Based on the chosen operator you will be prompted to provide a value. Please note, that manually typed-in values must match exactly (case sensitive).
You may add multiple filters to a table by selecting the + Add filter button.
Select the x to remove a filter.
Date Range Filters
You can filter by date using a custom range from the calendar drop-down or choose a preset option.
Clear the filter with the x arrow to see data for all time.
User Input Filters
A User Input Filter allows you to type in keywords to quickly filter and display only the information that matches what was typed. Select the arrow after typing in the value or click outside of the box to search.
Select x to remove the filter.
Multi Select Filters
Select multiple options to refine your filters. Type within the filter to narrow down the drop-down options. For the filter to apply to the dashboard, you must click outside the drop-down filter area.
When multiple options are selected a scrollbar will appear to the right to help you see all the values you have selected.
You must clear each option individually by selecting the x to clear the filter or clicking on the selected drop-down value(s) once again.
